As I said, if you see the faint glow of the brake filament (the thick one) and a brighter glow of the run filaments (the thin ones) the ground on that socket is the problem.
Not sure what you mean by using the skin as ground. what socket to what connection i made? I'm sorry I need stuff explained so in depth.
There were 4 wires going to the same ground point on the trailer towards the front. one went to an empty battery box so i eliminated that one. the rest, I cut, redid and put back. also redid grounds at both tail lights. Should i just replace both tail light assemblies?
