not sure if you mentioned what model / build of trailer you have but that might help a bit.
Further, depending on the build, there should be a "junction / termination box" underneath the trailer body / frame area. The plug "pigtail" usually terminates / makes connections there to the wiring of the trailer. One question: is the plug on the trailer a "molded one" or is it one that you can take apart and access the wiring / screw terminals? Does it look new / replaced? If the plug has screw terminal type wiring plug, then the previous owner may have "mixed" up the wiring there. You can just follow the wiring diagram that was posted to correct the wiring since you have already confirmed that your TV works properly with another trailer.
If its a "molded plug", than you have to find the "junction box" and do the some "corrective action" at the box.
Posting a picture of the plug and / or junction box wiring might help get you to the bottom of this faster.
