Since even before that. As the rims that were on this truck went on a 1971 and this is my old 1989 with 04 8 lug GM rims on it. - texasclarksExplorer

My wish list: A 2500 Suburban 8 spd w/ 4.5 Duramax, with 2500# payload and a 12k tow rating. I'd pre-order one of those right now!
Probably the only way we don't go Expy EL Ecoboost for our next family hauler is if GM makes this truck!

Actually, it's a legit picture. It's taken in a hotel parking lot where GM always parks it's vehicle during high altitude testing in Silverthorne, CO. It's a back parking lot and that's as "hidden" as you can get in that area. How do I know? I work for a major big truck manufacturer and do the same type of test-driving in that area as well. When I was there earlier this summer, GM was testing several Holdens as well as the replacement for the TrailBlazer there for testing. Also a bunch of unmarked Buicks and a cool shop truck as well. The engineer I was with while doing my testing was a former GM engineer that did exactly what they were doing. - BenKExplorerThis got me curious and searched for GM bolt pattern/circle/etc Finally found

Love how the article says "spied"...if that truly is a spied picture from the Rockies. Notice how clean it is? Not even the tires/wheels show any dirt?
Spied? More like staged. But they're getting their publicity and it is interesting it is coming back. - MegaCab_PLExplorerI thinks it's been same pattern since 1992 thru now.

are you sure about that ?
I thought GM has been using the same 8 bolt pattern for PUs and SUV's for years. That's why you can see a 1995 Suburban 2500 with those nice alloy 16" rims from a 3/4 ton 2005 Silverado.
The 2013 3/4t sub's use the wheels (and smae bolt pattern) from pre-2007 HD trucks. - MegaCab_PLExplorerAPT -

For all things designed, it NOT for the good days, but for the day Mr Murphy crosses
your path. No matter how long or short that path is
100% agree Ben! I hope that GM comes out with a true HD Suburban with a proper receiver, proper axles, proper cooling, proper suspension, etc. I can handle the SemiFloat rear axle...would still prefer a FF but I understand that a Semi float can be made really strong and is much easier to service. Still not my preference.
The 1500 Sub I rented had a great front suspension but the rear was to bouncy, not sure if was the springs or shocks. But for my sanity I would make changes to the rear suspension to get it to settle down.
Let's hope the 2500 addresses that issue.
Thanks!
Jeremiah
