I have a 100-gallon aluminum auxiliary diesel tank that has been sitting unused for a few years. It's a KSH, which is located in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. I would love to get rid or it. It looks exactly like the 100-gallon tanks shown on KSH's website.
Here's the story. A year after it was installed in a Ford F350 diesel, I started to have fuel blockage problems. Mechanics could never find anything wrong with the truck's fuel system, and it only happened when I was drawing fuel from the auxiliary tank. I finally just gave up and removed the tank, and I never had another fuel blockage. I installed a Transfer-Flow tank and just stored the KSH.
After removing the tank and draining it, I looked inside and saw what looked like a marble, or maybe a large ball bearing. It must have been dropped in by accident. (Or was it done by someone as a prank?) That ball must have been rolling around during travel, and now and then it would come to rest over the fuel outlet where it would create a blockage. I'm sure that was the problem all along.
