I asked if anyone had used a 49201a876 w/ a honda almost a year ago and its nice to hear it will run it , but for me using the gen not on eco mode as you can with 9201 is not a good thing , I have stayed in hot weather and run the AC and gen all nite in eco and the gen would spool up when the AC compressor came on , not as loud , not as much gas, nor is not being able to charge the batterys at the same time a good fit for me, spoiled I guess from the 9201

the 9201=8.5 amps at low fan 8.9 at high 1260 watts at 120F
49201A876 = 11.1 at low 11.5 at high 1450 watts at 120 F
47201A876 = 11.2 at low 11.7 at high 1550 watts at 120 F

Thats about a third more power required , no wonder it dosent preform the same , is it a good fit ? or an just the only game in town

If you want a 49201a876 you better hurry there are only the ones on the shelfs. Them its the new mach 8 cub 47201a876 with 2 motors

If you want one that preforms as a 9201 did or as close as is available

My AC will run in the "eco" but I prefer to run it in the "eco off" mode, as I don't care for that 1-2 sec. lag and quick rev-up/spool-up, when the compresser calls for more amps.

Running the "eco-off" mode does add some revs when the comp. is not running, but does provide a much smoother transition in the genny when the comp. does kick on. Hondas of any type love revs but they don't like to be lugged.

I restore old Honda motorcycles, mostly 70's era four cylinders, so I think I kinda understand how they were designed and were made to operate. Yup, they sure beat the good old USA small-engined products and I am a proud American and disabled Vietnam Vet but also am a realist.
