I just got off the phone with Rvp or coleman or airxcl whatever you want to call them , was asking about what ceiling unit to use with a wall teestat , so the AC will turn off then on again when the teestat calls for it , instead of a ceiling unit with controls on it .
I asked why they cant use a lower amp compressor with a low profile unit like the cub , he said the cub has a layed down , horizontal comp. and thats the lowest amp one available . The mach 1 ps is stood up and is available in lower amp , its a 6.6amp
Like I said before I waited for the new model mach 1 ps to come out, its .2 or.4 amp less than the previous model, I`ll be getting one before summer. My camper is a non basement Lance , Id prefer a low profile unit but givin the power reqirement diffrence I can handle the extra 3 or so inches in height
FYI the cub and the mach can use the same inside ceiling units
FYI the new mach cub has 1 motor for the cooling fins and a seperate motor for the inside 2 speed motor , it also has a smaller horizontal external fan on the top than the large one previous models had
I have 140 watts of solar but I still want to run my converter to charge the batts ,some times with the AC and the gen running I use the microwave on my inverter at the same time , like to be able to replentish dc loss right away
If I had known about the freon issue and higher amp cubs I would have taken the 9201 cub I put on my Okanagan off before I sold it
The only reason I guess Im so persistant when one of these threads about hondas and cubs comes up is there are so many lucky guys with 9201 cubs out there that tell of the great comb they are , I want the actual situation to be represented to the question , so people can make the decision based on corect info
