9'6" Camper-Do you NEED an extension to tow?
I recently got a TC and plan on towing my boat around a bit this summer and wonder if I need an extension? I haven't had a chance to play around with it yet and the camper is off of my truck right now...

I went with the 2.5 hitch and extension mainly do to the increased stress on the hitch if ball mount is extended and reading about hitch failures. The other bonuse of the 2.5 extension is the ability to use a hitch carrier easily if you need to carry a bit more and don't have the trailer along.
OK got ya. I now see what you're talking about. Hitch extension where you use your existing hitch with or just a whole new hitch that is just longer. What's your thought on me having a level boat with a 4" drop with no camper and having my camper on. Will I probably want a 2" drop with the extra weight?
