A couple of Evergreen Ever-lite specific questions

This weekend we are going to look at some Evergreen Ever-Lite travel trailers being offered for sale. One is a new unit and the others are single-owner. (Yes, I have already given a great deal of thought to the fact the Evergreen is no longer in business.)

For whatever reason, I cannot find in their specs what the interior height is on their units? Obviously I will know once I am inside them, but just wanted to get some idea. I did come across a news article from a couple of years ago says that they had increased height for 2015 or 2016 model year by 2 inches . . . .

And second - all of the units that I am going to see have 50 amp service (according to their listings and the photos) and they all are advertised as having "2nd AC Prep". But what specifically does that mean for these EverLite trailers? If any of you have installed a second AC in an Evergreen Everlite I would certainly appreciate hearing your story.

Thanks in advance!

Martin

Heck, even Terry Bradshaw likes them!

Who's kidding who? ... Terry Bradshaw got PAID to like 'em. Guess that didn't work out too well, 'cept for Terry Bradshaw of course. :W

Are you implying that a celebrity might stretch the truth for money? How dare you say such a thing. We all know that celebrities are of the highest moral character. :)

I have a 27 ft Everlite and never saw a need for a second air conditioner. I've never measured the inside height. "About average"? but that's not overly helpful. Maybe 7 ft, but that's a guess.

This 2012 Evergreen Website lists interior height at 6' 6" or 78" which is average for many travel trailers.

  • Martin, I remember looking at these trailers at a local show years ago. I was impressed. I would not hesitate picking one up as almost all of it can be serviced by any competent shop.

"2nd AC Prep" means that the wiring is in place for the second AC and I would also think that the thermostat is ready as well. Can't help you with the height inside. I would think someone will chime in soon.

    Good luck.
