My freshwater tank is under a bed in my rear bedroom. A week or so ago, while de-winterizing, I filled the tank up with freshwater and a disinfectant (bleach solution). While filling, I saw water pooling in the hallway between the beds. I ran to shut the water off but it took me a while to figure out why it was leaking. I had disconnected the pump inlet at the tank to suck in antifreeze. I usually hook it back up but forgot. The freshwater tank was draining under the bed.
So it got a really good soaking. And it's carpet under the beds (I replaced everything else with laminate). I used a shop vac to suck up the water from the floor and carpets. I left the cabinet doors open and the bed propped open.
So far so good. It doesn't take much to warp the laminate floors - I've replaced a few planks in the past - but it appears to have dried out nicely.
My advice is to make sure you've gotten it all soaked up and if needed put a desiccant in there.
Definitely hold the people that did the repair accountable for your labor and any damage though.
