I will probably do most of my trips within 8-12 hours, not towing more than 6 hours/day with an overnight stop. Then find a base camp, do my sightseeing, and move on after 3-4 days. I'm not someone who will go to one place and stay for 2 weeks just to stay there.
My tendency to have more frequent moves is making me think minimal setup is the way to go.
So now I need to look for lightweight trailers, with a GVWR of around 4000 or less. I know better than to push the limits of the tow vehicle, and most SUVs with tow packages go to 5000.
