I have had a few back surgeries, a couple of shoulder surgeries, and a knee operation, so don't expect that I'm going to continue to be lifting the panels on the Aliner, which were noticeably heavier when I bought the most recent with the dormers.
That's helpful to know, thanks. Especially since it's kind of my long term plan go get one if I live long enough to retire! Might be worth skipping the dormers to keep operations simple and light with aging bones. I sleep under a tarp when I backpack, so a 12' Aliner doesn't seem terribly roughing it to me at this point for car touring/camping. Hope I still see it that way when I can afford to quit working and travel. I sure hate to give up a functional rear view mirror on road trips.
