Well after selling my truck and camper in the spring and a lot of looking it is time to say good bye to the world of truck campers. It was fun but I am now the owner of a new to me class c motor home...

Your experience with sellers and dealers is very informative and similar to what we've experienced. We were looking for a RPod 171 or 172 travel trailer so we can give that form of RVing a try. A local dealership here in Spokane was so very difficult to work with that after 3-4 tries at working with them to buy a new RPod, we just gave up on them. They didn't know the product, lied about features we could read on the web, and all the usual salesman pressure to "buy right now". Very frustrating. Seemed to us that unless you were after a much larger and more expensive trailer, they didn't want to talk to you. And sent the night watchman to sell you something.
We finally found a used trailer and had a truly wonderful experience in dealing with the previous owners.
RV sales seem to be an interesting business.
