A new 6.6L engine with 400hp and 450lbft of torque is coming for 3/4 ton through medium duty GM trucks. It will have all of the new fuel saving tech and seems to emphasize torque over horsepower. Well, 2020 will seem like an eternity for me. My truck is starting to nickel and dime me and I am thinking about buying a new truck. Was only interested in a new Ram 3500/4500; however, for the first time in 20 years, I am thinking about going back to a gas truck. Ford's 7.3 gas, Ram's 7.0 gas, and now GM's 6.6 gas. Could be the best time to go back. I just hope they don't gouge customers on the prices.
