I have friends who've had boats shipped in from WA via barge. I don't remember how much, but they found it worth it. I think you could do the same thing with a TC although there was one guy that had a TC damaged in transit, so you would want insurance.
I don't know how long the cable connectors are for a Lance, but my connector cable is plenty long enough to connect near the back of the bed if needed. The biggest problem with a Lance is that they decided to have 6 instead of 7 prongs with one dead. I believe you should be able to do that if you didn't want to buy a connector. The 7 prong connector diagrams are readily available, and I'm sure the pin out on the Lance is available as well. Just a thought.
Keep in mind that if you ever need to replace the connector, the Lance connector will be harder to find since they are pretty much unique to them.
