I don't know how long the cable connectors are for a Lance, but my connector cable is plenty long enough to connect near the back of the bed if needed. The biggest problem with a Lance is that they decided to have 6 instead of 7 prongs with one dead. I believe you should be able to do that if you didn't want to buy a connector. The 7 prong connector diagrams are readily available, and I'm sure the pin out on the Lance is available as well. Just a thought.
Keep in mind that if you ever need to replace the connector, the Lance connector will be harder to find since they are pretty much unique to them.
Good info on the 7-pin for the Lance, didn't know that...
Just out of curiosity I just checked Seattle craigslist and there is an 04 1161 going for 16495 though that one has the on board genset, so I think we are at a good price for the 05 at 14500.
