About to purchase preowned Lance 1161 questions, new to TC's

Ok folks, new to the board here and completely new to truck camping so apologize for the newbie-ness :P Sold my 5th wheel, going to a TC to simplify things (got tired of paying $125 a month to park...

Just letting you know,I would stay away from the 1161 in spite of what all the "experts" tell you including Sleepy.I had a 2004 1161 and bought it "in excellent shape" When I got the heavy wood sucker home I discovered the slide was starting to sag and had a 3/8 " gap that you could see thru. Unless you want to rebuild this POS like Sleepy did
then beware.
