Is there a simple answer as to why when the Ac compressor kicks on there is a good thud that can be felt inside? I have checked the mounts and can't find any issues there. ...

The frequencies of the various vibrations from the multiple motors can interact to create annoying harmonics. Good engineering and testing can reduce them but we don't see much of that. The AC on my Northern Lite is the noisiest I have ever had, both inside and outside the TC
