I have a duo therm rooftop ac unit that is not working. The fan kicks in, but the compressor doesn't seem to even try to kick in. I'm assuming that I am going to have to replace the unit, but is there...

I'm no expert, but I don't think you can always tell a bad capacitor by outward appearance. Mine certainly looked fine, but I replaced it and it started working. Maybe there is some way to test the voltage of the capacitor but that is beyond my knowledge level.
