ac qusetion
I have a duo therm rooftop ac unit that is not working. The fan kicks in, but the compressor doesn't seem to even try to kick in. I'm assuming that I am going to have to replace the unit, but is there...

Ya, then I suppose the capacitor is next. If too low on refrigerant it won't start either. It's a safety item. If you have the cover off to change the capacitor you might try banging on the compressor to see if it's stuck and you can break it loose. Don't hammer on it too hard of course. This most likely will not work it's just a old Caveman trick to bang on anything that isn't working. And, it does help in many cases; you'd be surprised. (Doesn't work so well on computers though. lol)
