A/C rooftop unit shroud (updated with photos)

I ordered a new shroud based on age and model and the new one is fully enclosed, while the old one has a cutout on the rear (by the fan and filter). It looks like a perfect match otherwise (will know for sure in the morning when I go to replace it), but should I cut out the rear area or just leave as is? I hope I'm making sense. Thank you!
  • Leave it as is- but depending on the make and model- Coleman or Duotherm/Dometic- there might be foam pieces that need to be in place to keep air from recirculating.
  • If the original cutout is so the condenser (radiator looking part) can breathe then yes you will have to cut the new one out.

crazyro - Not enough information to answer your question. Photos would help.
