Accelerating my brake controller applies the trailer brakes

Has anyone ever seen this before... I have an Hopkins Insight Flex controller (HM47297). It works as it should when applying the brakes, numbers as high as 45/55, however when I accelerate I see th...

You might be on to something. The pedal switch would feed power to the cruise control to turn it off when you step on the brake pedal. Maybe if the brake light switch is bad it's feeding power to both the cruise control shutting it off and the trailer brake controller causing your problem. replacing the switch might repair both faults.
