No insurance is going to swoop in with white gloves and keep your life on track. Claim and repair will proceed as usual. Any immediate need will be on you to make arraignments.
Yup, this.
I know what a smack in the chops losing your TV just before a big trip. Been there, done that, although not due to an accident. My TV blew the head gasket a couple days before we were scheduled to head out to Yellowstone. Given that we'd planned to take two weeks to even get there, we had plenty of time to cancel reservations and make new plans. We wound up flying in to Salt Lake City, renting a car, and staying in hotels instead of camping. It was still a great trip, just not quite how we'd planned it.
As @time2roll said, the only obligation any insurance company has is to do the standard rent-a-car and fix/replace your damaged vehicle. If you had a fabulous vacation planned, that's your problem, not theirs. While you can argue about it, you aren't likely to prevail in court, and that route will be years in pursuing.
