Adding a cabinet

I haven't seen any when checking rv surplus stores. You may do just as well to buy stock cabinets from Home Depot or Lowes. But, you will also have to figure out how to install them depending on the wall material, which may limit you on weight.

Are you handy ? I have built and installed cabinets all around in our trailer.

There's no real issue about hanging a standard cabinet in an RV.

Can you post a link to the model and bathroom pics.

As above, if you are handy enough, you could build one from scratch to match the finish of all other cabinetry. If you go to a dealer's lot, walk through other Lacrosse models and find an upper or lower door of about the same size you want and with the same finish. Get the dealer to order that door and enough of the same plywood and 1x2 with finish to match yours. On an expensive new unit, it would be nice to have it look as if it were factory done...

Maybe not, but you would need to know the best type of fastener to use if you are dealing with laminated walls that don't have typical wood stud construction. I would reccommend that anyone attempting to hang a cabinet, which may get pretty heavy once loaded, check with their RV manufacturer to see what mounting hardware would be the best to use, whether it be toggle bolts, hollow wall anchors, or find available studs (wood or aluminum). If you just attach the cabinet to a wall with a few wood screws, you may end up having the cabinet pulling off from weight and vibrations, or you could possibly have other problems caused by longer screws penetrating the wall structure.

Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

There are some RV cabinet doors for sale on Ebay if you are interested in building your own custom sized cabinets.

I have a clothes closet above and to the back of the toilet. I fastened a couple of stringers to the inside wall of the closet and mounted shelves on the outside. There was an empty space there so it was a great place for extra storage.

A call to the manufacturer should solve your problem. They use standard sized cabinets rather than specialty ones, but surely there is something in their sizing that would fit. They can also tell you IF you can install one in that area and if there's bracing behind that wall. Would be bad to buy and install a cabinet only to have it fall off. A plus would be that it would match your other cabinets.

Can you not buy a complete medicine cabinet above the vanity like in the photo gallery and install it over the toilet? May not be quite as wide as you'd like. It may not have finished sides but you can always order pieces of the finish plywood from the dealer. The dealer might even have some small pieces in stock for doing repairs. That's what I'd look at doing if it were me and it will look factory done.

The weight of a cabinet like the one you have already would be insignificant and you'd never put much weight in one either. IMHO, I can't see any issues hanging on the wall with appropriate fasteners. As long as a cabinet has a backing on it, you could always cut a section of wall panel off and put some bracing inside the wall and then put the cutout piece back in and the cabinet over it.

I love that fridge and the theater seats....
