Thanks everyone. I've since found a different dealer where all the trucks already have the brake controller. They are more consumer oriented instead of work truck oriented. The deals are a little better, but it means a little bit longer travel. I think I'll deal with them.
I appreciate the info on the IBC issues. If I find the IBC doesn't do the job, I'll just add my own.
Wife still isn't totally on board, so I'll have to work on that. In the end, I may just plow ahead and deal with the consequences. I just feel we need a more stable tow vehicle and I'm not sure how to convince her except to hook the new truck up and pull.
