A couple weekends ago - a member of our Good Sam group had his 50Amp trailer plugged in with a 30 Amp cord.
He had bought it a Camping World a few years ago. 25 ft - 30Amp plug on the pedestal end and a 50Amp connector on the TT end.
He said that unless the temps are expected to be over 85 degrees, he leaves the 50Amp cord at home.
Today I can only find pigtails - not full length cords in that configuration - but it is an option for when you don't need 50Amps.
And at most public campgrounds - 30Amp is a couple dollars cheaper per night than 50Amp.
