Lantley makes a good point. All cords are not equal. I have both a Camco and a Marinco and there is a world of difference in flexibility as well as overall quality. Marinco is more expensive than the OEM and/or Camco cords in that they remain fairly flexible in cold weather. They are made to be that way since they are the standard for the marine industry and well worth the extra money. I certainly would not allow a power cord to deprive me of the advantages of 50A service.
