Tom,
kerry4951 would have somewhat of a possible point for discussion for other aluminum tube TC's but NOT Lance as they use their patented LanceLock capture design that encompasses the welded aluminum frame tube with a full length coated 3 sides of aluminum extrusion having the TC frame member inbetween so it's now double walled. A screw is only depended upon to hold the LanceLock joint in place while the coating cures. A hundred plus times stronger than just single point pressure screw heads because it secures the joint in ALL needed directions forever! Drastically reduces and/or prevents any joint flexing which quickly fatigues the aluminum around the screw head that's putting single point pressure and the joint is then loose!
1. Go look at the many videos on the ( www.lancecamper.com ) web site
Scroll down to "Lance TV" and click on "GO". It will bring up a video window and at the top of the window is "playlist" so you can select any or all of the many videos showing the actual designs, construction, and features etc of a Lance TC or a Lance TT. It should answer all your questions and show you how precsion built a Lance TC is and it's built here in the USA using nearly all US manufactured materials in the construction of. Also will answer the Azdel use and why, the Lite-Ply use and why, secure hidden wiring and plumbing, easy owner replacable perfect match original fit of any single part/panel/etc of any cabinet piece if ever needed (try that with any other TC manufacturer). You can add another cabinet or individual pieces to suit your needs and it will match exactly all the other cabinets. Very superior strength of floors due to the LanceLock feature for full usage by all especially when off the truck and with full liquid tanks too. Something most other TC's lack severely in! About anything else you'd want to know. It will open your eyes as to why Lance is the leader in the TC industry by leaps and bounds in sales and products.
The "LanceLock" system is clearly shown in color and you can enlarge it to see exactly how it is used with welded frame tubes to form a superior assembly. Many other pictures of Lance TC and TT features and attributes, Just google: lancelock system
Go to page 2 and click on "Images for lancelock system" Most are for Lance RV's as you will readily see.

You should check it out also because Lance uses ONE piece laminated sections of Aluminun welded frame, high density foam, Azdel on both sides on ALL 6 walls. The wings are part of the entire wall section and zero wood in them. Azdel adds R-2 insulation to each side so it adds an additional R-4 of insulation and is totally rot proof, moisture proof, waterproof, mildew/mold proof, very highly puncture resistant (4-5X more resistant than the same thickness of wood) and is also an excellent sound proofing material all with being about 50% lighter than wood products.
BTW, there was just very recently a thread on the TC section by an owner of a very new Arctic Fox TC water lines freezing in way above zero temps when the inside of the TC was heated to around 70 F. Never had any of our Lance TC's lines freeze in way below -10 F and the outside temp not even getting up to 0 F during the day for 2-3 days with the inside heat when traveling set to 60F. More on other forums about freezing up also and yet Northwood/Arctic Fox etc claim their TC's to be 4 season. Ya, right! Those owners know better as told by their own experiences.
Tom, BTW, I'm a retired Mechanical Engineer who worked with structures and assemblies constantly and I owned a design & engineering business for nearly 40 years so I DO actually understand structures and their pluses and minuses and what happens to them over time and usage.
I do not care which brand of TC you actually purchase as it's your decision and money but do feel you should know the real facts rather than just some opinions! Knowledge is power in making good decisions!
