HI, thanks All....
Yes, I believe the AS IS LAW stands for what is VISIBLY APPARENT as well
!..however due to the fact that there was NO way to see water/mold inside of walls as well as they scheduled a 5:00pm.(dark) inspection upon initial pickup...Again there would be no way to see such hidden items.
There is a mountain of reasons, the list is long which I was savvy enough to demand the first incidence, (Jack failure), repaired reluctantly(in writing)..I have all correspondence/ photos..
The dealer also sold a camper under the pretense, which was barley one yrs. old..(selling point).."only used three times"!!!
The dealer is a very large reputable company (nation wide)...I believe the salesman (Dealers legal Representative) also has a moral obligation..(regardless whether he was a woman or a man)as well as scheduling an inspection at dark? Who does that ?
Including with a retired disabled elderly gentleman who could barley get up in camper! Also when I went to climb ladder and peek up top..he spoke up- "yea I don't recommend climbing on a camper roof..it's just not a good idea to do that"! Being a first time, totally new camper owner,I believed what I was being told/sold..
So was the time of inspection intentional?
I was not made aware there were two antennas- one radio and one TV ...
I now believe the inspection should of been with someone who would of been able to show me everything !..."they stressed, it was like brand new"...making inspection very fast !
LOL..I do believe that this is not within the industry standards and in fact because I was a first time camper owner and yes a woman..I was screwed..
Thank you for all your wonderful and very informative reply's..and
for all your time....I jumped on line to read a little on (AS IS Contract Laws)...This sale does in fact apply! as well as (lemon laws) apply in WA state. This is a defective product!
Due to these issues which were unforeseen, "I believe I am covered"...
I'm sure any Dealer would of had a problem, nor would they allowed to start ripping walls apart looking for black mold! I don't believe that is the standard procedure prior to buying a vehicle or camper?
so again- AS IS contract law stands !
I called Kentucky corporate offices, emailed all correspondence.. "so we shall see" I will keep posted, thanks again people!
I paid top dollar, no deals for this 2012 camper...I just want my camper/bugout and want to go camping...like you would expect to- when you all purchased yours....
Also as far as the weight..the camper only had 400lbs.remaining which was not including all my hunting gear/food etc..with out pulling my quad..(truck was squatting) so I had to have leaf springs and airbags..
Thanks again for your time..
