We are looking for something that's fairly easy to erect, is durable and as trouble-free as possible (reliable). We don't want to worry about a sagging floor or roof or a poorly made unit.
A sagging floor or roof is usually caused by water leaking. If you take care of your unit, this will not be a problem. PUPs are usually easy to erect. One with an A/C unit on top takes more muscle to crank up than one without. Try it out at the dealership to see how much effort it takes.What are your opinions about having a PUP with a shower/privy combo? Are these very usable? How difficult is it to empty the cassette?We have separate shower / toilet in our PUP. We love the toilet at 3 AM rather than getting dressed and going for a walk. Cassette is very easy to empty. It has wheels and pulls like a small suitcase. We never use the shower.Is a refrigerator necessary?No. An ice chest works fine.
