Good Evening!
We've decided to put the RV shopping on hold for awhile.
We visited two more dealerships yesterday and saw a few small Aljo, Jayco and Skyline TTs. We have a couple of sizable dealerships here but they carry very limited brands. We still haven't seen the Rockwood hard side series. Every salesperson we talked with tried to pressure us into buying something...anything, it was almost comical. "Our BIG blowout sale is ending Sunday! Now is the time to buy!" (Like they won't have another sale next month.) "We won't be getting more of this model - this is the LAST ONE!!" LOL I think we have Dealer-itis.
So we're going to do some tent camping in the next couple of weeks in the Bishop/Mammoth Lake area. Want to check out campgrounds to see what type of camps we like and better understand what we need in order to have a pleasurable camping experience.
When my husband and I first began to talk about finding something to camp in we agreed to keep it super simple and within budget but then we became aware of all the options and extras that are available and the rig started to get bigger & better and more expensive (!) and pretty soon didn't resemble at all what we were originally going for.
When we recover from Dealer-itis we'll be back to post what we ended up with.
Take care, all! Happy trails :)
