I've done exactly the same as you are planning, except with a 2000 watt inverter, which required 2/0 copper battery cables. I ran them through the floor, which on mine is a thin layer of plywood on both top and bottom glued to 2" rigid foam. I used minimal expansion urethane foam to seal, but honestly most TT holes don't even have a sealer in them. I haven't had a bit of trouble with mine.
I recently saw a neat idea which was to drill a bigger hole and use one of the "mouse hole" 30 amp cable fittings in the floor. I may add this so I can run my 30 amp cable up to my inverter plug- I was previously just leaving the hatch cracked and running an extension cord back to the power cable when using the inverter (after turning off the breaker to the power converter).
