Personally I wouldn't (and didn't) mount my inverter to the front wall because it would be taking up space better used in other ways. I instead built an open frame shelf (for ventilation) and suspended it from the storage compartment "rafters" - inverter is out of the way, retaining maximum space for storing other more important items. :)
Soundguy, I really like this idea. Looks a lot more stable and makes efficient use of space.
I looked into some tape that's supposed to be especially for wrapped underbellies and boy is it expensive! I think Gorilla tape sounds pretty good...nothing lasts forever anyway! I'll be checking Lowes and Home Dopey for grommets and the other stuff you guys mentioned. I'll let you know how it comes out. Thanks for all the advice!
