I sold Azdel when this product was done by GE THe Azdel is spound bond polypropylene fiber(PP).PP does not absorb any water ,and any water will flow to the bottom. The process is to bond the Azdel to fiberglass by heat and glue. This is great product and for sure a lot better than any lauan wood. I choose myself the Lance because I know that product
If repair need to be done to the exterior fiberglass , this will be done exactly like any other fiberglass panel.
