Could I ask what your affinity to having Azdel walls would be? This is my for own curiosity.
Azdel + AL framing means no rot in the walls when something leaks.
My current trailer has no wood in the shell, except a sheet of 1/4" luan in the floor. The shell is Al-Foam-Al with some Al bracing. That includes the roof. When we had a leak in a seam in the roof (that took over a year to find and get repaired), it was nice to know that the shell wasn't going to rot away on us.
Our next trailer will, most likely, have a wood frame, hardboard backed fibreglass siding and rubber roof. Why? We love the size, layout, construction quality, 4-seasons and rugged frame/axle/tires. It's an Outdoors RV Timber Ridge model. I'm just resigned to the fact that I'll have to be more obsessive about maintaining it. As we will be spending a lot of time living in it (we're snow birds), that shouldn't be a problem.
And, realistically, as long as it last 10-15 years, I'll be happy. My estate can deal with whatever's left.
