For those that have installed these, are the aftermarket tow mirrors worth the money quality wise? I am not talking about the slip on mirrors. I am referring to the extendable large towing mirrors. Pricing seems to be all over the map, from $125 to $450 for power, heated, turn signal mirrors.

Yes I put some on a 2002 Chevy .

I would love to do that... Just hate to tear into it and they are expensive for sure...I carry a set of those slip-ons just in case I need them and they work great as well... I have the ones that has the large thumb screw on the back to hold them in place. I really haven't had to use them with my low profile POPUP trailer however...I always liked the DODGE truck standard mirrow that flipped out... Too bad the other trucks didn't do that...Roy Ken

Price also seems dependent on the vehicle manufacturer and whether you want OEM mirrors or eBay knockoffs. GM tow mirrors range from around $650 up to $1200 for power folding.

I put a set on my '02 F250 and like them. :)

A few of the reviews on Amazon said the mirrors extended by themselves.

I will be placing an order tonight so more research is required I guess.

The only reason I don't want the slip over style is the field of view. It's nice to see alot more of your surroundings.

I got the tow mirrors from A1Auto for my 2013 silverado and they vibrate, they also will start to extend by themselves. Sorry can't get the video to work, they look the same as the ones posted above.

I bought a set of power knock offs for my Silverado on ebay for the same money as the clip ons. Took about an hour to install and they look and act just like OEM. Very pleased.

I put a set of CIPA remote adjustable and heated replacement mirrors on my 2001 Dodge 2500. Really liked them, straight forward to install. fit and worked well with no vibration issues. Pricy though.

Amazon and AM Auto have some good prices on different brands. I'm just worried about vibration at 70mph when not towing. 60 when towing because I'm in no big hurry to get where I need to go, usually run on the highway and not interstate.

This is a good option.

I got a set of mirrors form 1AAuto.com that I just finished putting on my Suburban.

I was using CIPA slip-ons before. Tomorrow will be my first tow with the new ones.

My F150 had the factory tow mirrors and I loved those to death. These new ones are somewhere in between those and the CIPA slip-ons. Some vibration, but not too bad.

The ttt Schefenacker mirrors are very good quality. They were expensive when I purchased mine for my 03 GMC and I think they are no longer manufactured. You could likely buy a set used. I no longer tow with my old GM that I should probably put the originals back on it and sell the TTT's.
