Are you seeing high trans temps now? What is your average?
I don't own a Ford but I don't see over 165-170 with my transmission. So, I'm not worried about my diff either. I do run Amsoil extreme diff gear oil but like others said....it lasts a very long time and I've seen and felt the synthetic oil difference.
I'd address the cooler/service of your trans if your seeing higher than normal temps.
