They are also extremely well made. The case is a one piece thick polypropylene container with an epoxy sealed lid. When I called Lifeline techs inquiring about putting them on their side, the tech said no problem, the case could be driven over with a truck. The terminals are copper and epoxy sealed to the case. When you see one of these 31XTs you see the quality.
I ordered two of them and had them sitting on the floor for a month before installation. The open circuit voltage dropped from 13.06 to 13.05 over that month (this actually doesn't mean that much but is a nice check).
