Flooded cells are more cost effective for this use. Good AGMs are a better product in most other respects. It depends on what is more import to you - clearly you place a higher value on the cost. I place a higher value on functionality, and Lifeline AGMs simply function better. Probably better still (and perhaps with a lower life cycle cost than even flooded cells) are LiFePO4 - but the technology is young at this point so time will tell.
