AGM batteries?
Is it imperative to have AGM batteries with a solar set-up? Why? Could you not just use 2 6v batteries (not AGM's)? Do they last longer? How much and are they really worth the price difference?

I am starting my 8th year with a set of Lifeline AGM batteries. Of course I have had to do no maintenance. I do open the battery compartment every year or two just to check and make sure all looks OK
