- ACZLExplorerGot ours from Sears few years back. Gauge says it will go up to 100#, but really have only used it to fill air bag up on hitch (has looooong 12v cord). As for plugging into rear 7-way, Cabelas sold a device that plugged into the 7-way and offered different kinds of plugs in. Not sure if they still have it or even avail online anywheres.
- Dave_H_MExplorer IIThat would be handy RD.
I use an elcheapo one that I got at Wally World. - RDS33ExplorerLots of 12 volt compressors will do the job. I made it easy on myself. The lighter plug would not work part of the time and it was a problem winding up the power cord all the time.
I cut off the lighter plug and left a 3 foot cord and put a 7 pin RV plug on it and wired to the 12 terminal and ground. I plug it in on the back bumper pump and done.
My rear plug is hot all the time other trucks may be switched. - TakingThe5thExplorer

I went with a Viair 400RV. It is pricey at over $200 but comes in a canvas tote, has two 30 ft coiled hoses, and assorted tips. It will fill a flat trailer tire to 80 psi in about five minutes. If I am going to carry a compressor then I want it to supply all my air needs. BTW max pressure is 150 psi I believe but I only need 80 psi for my 5ver and TV so it works for all my stuff within 60 ft of my TV batteries.
X2. A bit much for just filling airbags but it will work as hard as a small 110 volt unit when you are away from shore power, if that's what you need. - cmeadeExplorerI went with a Viair 400RV. - HelmseyExplorerJust about any 12v compressor should be sufficient if only used on the airbags. They do not require much air to fill.
I initially used a bike pump in my old truck to inflate the bags and could get them to 40(ish) PSI with ease. - netaqExplorerI have a cheap one from Home Depot. It is only capable of producing about 45 pounds of air though. That was plenty for the bags on my F250 - I only used about 25 psi.
- IdaDExplorerThere are tons of them on Amazon for less than $50 and good reviews. Go there and do a search for 12 volt air compressors.
