I've seen some say that the springs should just touch the stops, but I can get that at only 25 psi...
The bags do not need to carry all the weight of the camper. I have traveled with about 4000 pounds cabover with the overload springs just touching the bumps and it handles very well. However, I did add overload spring bumpers from Energy Suspension Systems and they bring the overload bumpers and the overload springs closer together. Works very well. I would not hesitate to run only 25 psi in the bags. Don't try to get the rear of the truck to the same place it is empty. With 4000 pounds camper my Airlift bags only need about 30 psi to be to the place where the overloads touch the bumpers.
