There is practically no reason to disconnect WDH bars while connected to the TV.
Totally agree make no sense to me, we only boon-dock and many times lock in the 4wd to get where we are going, never have I worried about disconnecting the bars, first time I have ever heard about someone doing this, also have never seen it. Makes no sense to me I have had my setup since 2000, no issues yet.
