air lift 1000's and WDH

Thanks for the feedback. I decided to go ahead and order a set. Hope to have them in here in a couple of weeks.

I have a 2014 ram also. From previous use of air lifts I am not a fan.

I changed out the stock coils for TUFTRUCK 1223V coils. Best modification ever for the 1500. They tighten the suspension up and get rid of the body roll which the truck really needs. I don't feel like I'm. Driving a 52 Buick now. But with the variable rate spring it rides great empty .

Ram should have put this spring in from the factory.

I pull a trailer with about 800 lb tongue weight and the rear only drops about 1" before the WD hitch is hooked up.

why would the wdh become unnecessary? okay, you leveled the suspension but the tongue weight of the camper is still pulling weight off the front axle without the wdh distributing weight to the front. I'd even argue you are making it worse by stiffening the rear suspension. In a short wheelbase vehicle like a wrangler you can bet your bippy I'd have a wdh.

I think you should try the Airlift 1000. I have them in my Ram and they do improve stability. I have found that 35lbs is better than 30lbs on my setup. Installation can be a problem but I found that once I had 95 percent of the bag in the coil (i.e. at least 50%of the bottom you can add a little air with a bike pump and the bag will slide right in - this assumes that you install the airlines before starting installation of the bags. Do not install without first attaching the airlines. Have pulled my TT over 10,000 miles the past 18 months with this setup.

I ave Airlift and front Firestone airshocks. My truck rides like talcum powder over a babys behind. "Smooth as silk" Airlift airbags are guaranteed for life so you can get them replaced if they split. I weigh 19,500 And my MGVWR is 22K

I installed a set of Timbren suspension enhancement blocks on my Silverado, really helped when pulling my trailer. Yes...it does ride like a truck as I tell my wife.

I know what your saying. I've put them in before. They are a pain, never had to take them out, I imagine that would be worse!

I have no problems with Air Lift. They warranted out my 10 year old bags that had small pinhole leaks. No questions asked. I only needed to pay for shipping my bags back, they sent me a return label and I put everything back in the OE box.

Ok, brand/use specific sorry about the confusion. But the pressure should not stay at 35 unless its too much air for the load, by a LOT.

I've never been a fan of AirLift, just seems like a cheap companny IME.

Firestone appears to be a much better made product with fewer complaints.
