I have used airbags for years with a WDH and they can be used in conjunction without complicating anything.
When I am carrying my camper the payload in the bed of my truck can vary by 2000lbs or more, so airbags are a great way to compliment the suspension.
The WDH is designed to only help with tongue weight and not additional payload. If there is minimal, or no, additional payload then they aren't going to do as much good.
If you use both setup the WDH without any additional payload in the TV and measure the height of the rear bumper. Then add the additional payload and airup the bags to about 1/2" lower than the TT alone. This puts some of the payload weight on the springs and not all on the bags for improved stability and ride.
AIrbags can also improve cornering stability, when plumbed separatly, and help the OEM suspension last longer before sagging.
It all depends on the end use.
