That is only a problem if one side of your camper is a lot heavier than the other side. Otherwise it matters not a wit.
I put Supersprings on my truck and they cost $450 and took me one hour to install. They only engage when the camper is on the truck. Nothing to add air to or let air out of and nothing to break.
I would not want to have the camper in the bed of the truck and have one of the air bags fail. What are you going to do in this situation?
Air bags have a different operation than the springs and shocks from the truck manufacturer and so it is common for people to have handling problems as a result. Air bags are good for towing a 5th wheel trailer, but that is a very different dynamic.
