When I was doing my calculations on Drag using NASA data I figured my truck and camper at 1.00 Why? The 8 foot wide X 10 foot high billboard that we are pushing down the highway and all of the protrussions ... mirrors, jacks, air conditioners, vents and hatches... camper windows on many aren't aerodynamic.
------------
just for comparison:
The aerodynamic drag and drag coefficient of a few good automobiles were as follows: (the lower the number the better)
Ferrari Spider .36,
Dodge Viper .33
Prius .26
I think that many of you will enjoy the following link, its information and suggestions,... and your automobile is proably listed.
Please read there notes on mirrors and windsheild wipers... etc.
Automobile drag coefficient
Surprise... for me anyway... the article doesn't like my precious mud flaps.
I think we need to also look at the aerodynamics of the underside of the truck.
Most of the forum members are positive in their suggestions... we can solve most anything. Looking forward to those comments.
Thanks for the supplied links... I've enjoyed them.
