There is a lot to be gained there... but in the process you would likely lose a lot, or most of the benefits of being in a "Truck". IE clearance, etc. Some newer concept trucks have started coming out with automatically adjustable air dams, similar to the chrysler crossfire's little air spoiler, that come down when at freeway speeds.

Not optimal for "retrofitting" to current trucks though.
