Especially when he said: I drive for a trucking company that is a very big proponent of saving fuel. The trucks we drive have tails on the back of the trailer, also those mudflaps that are not solid and block the air, but are perforated to allow air to flow through, called aerodynamic mud flaps.
I recently commeted about my "precious" mudflaps... I hate punch holes in them.... but every little bit helps.
The flaps can be louvered or perforated to prevent sailing.
