While I think that turbulance is a source of noise and
I think that laminar (smooth) flow usually eliminates noise....

We also have Noise that begins with laminair flow, i.e., laminar flow over windows, antennas, mirrors, bumpper guards, camper jacks... which causes turbulance... some noise and reduced fuel economy.
