I really really like to still have a very servicable tariler after the payments are all made. That is more important to me than hail.
Completely agree. Keep in mind it only took us 2 years to pay off our used 2 year old TT at $17k versus a used AS at $50k +. So, quite a bit of difference there. My non-AS TT is still very serviceable, maybe a bit more upkeep than a AS...just assuming.

I can't imagine hail not damaging the cheap plastic vents, skylights, tank vents, antennas etc. that are on the roof of any RV including Lances.
And AS...unless the AS do not have the same plastic vents, skylights, tank vents and antennas...I'm not entirely sure on that. However, to your point replacing the cheap plastic vents. Again, quite the difference in price replacing those versus removing dents in aluminum or having aluminum panels replaced. I do understand that having hail dents in an AS does not mean there are leaks. So if you can live with having an AS that looks like a teenager with bad acne...your choice. I would not, but that was my decision and does not mean everyone has the same priorities.
Again, to each his own and what is more important to that individual.
